Recently, WPP Energy has pioneered a new and disruptive method for the production of green hydrogen. A combined magnetic and light-enhanced electrolysis, which uses the same amount of electrical energy input, produces more than 9 times the hydrogen production of existing conventional electrolysis methods. Consequently, only an estimated 25-30% of the hydrogen production is used to drive the process itself, resulting in 70-75% of the hydrogen produced available for power generation or other purposes.

WPP W2H2™ GREEN HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY INTRODUCTION

Besides the dramatically lower cost of hydrogen-based energy (less than USD 0,02 per kWh, hydrogen production is carried out in real time as needed, which eliminates any need for storage. This production procedure allows significant cost savings and ensures both high level safety and zero emission.  Access to water is all that is needed.

 

This technology, unlike existing electrolysis methods, does not require 44 to 55 kWh electricity to produce 1kg hydrogen. For the same amount of electricity, WPP W2H2™ technology produces 9 times as much hydrogen. 

 

This new and advanced electrolysis weakens the bond of the oxygen-hydrogen molecule.  An electric and magnetic field are established before the bond is broken. A permanent magnet generates the magnetic field (no additional energy needed) and the electric field is generated by a laser operating at 532nm wavelength – requiring relatively little input power. Consequently, the energy gain is greater that the energy used to break the weakened bond - a theoretically similar process is observed in low energy nuclear reactions (LENR).

WPP W2H2™ GREEN HYDROGEN TECHNOLOGY - ENVIRONMENTAL BENEFITS

All the solutions presently in use globally leave a partial carbon footprint.  WPP W2H2™ technology is the only solution that guarantees both a zero carbon emission footprint and a totally non-toxic energy input and energy output. The energy input source is clean water, which is available in abundance, and the energy output is one hundred per cent non-toxic steam.

 

If fresh water is not readily available, an additional desalination unit will be provided to convert sea water into fresh water.

 

This W2H2™ water-splitting technology separates hydrogen from water inexpensively and only releases pure steam into the environment. There are no environmental compromises with this revolutionary new energy-producing technology – only benefits.

ARE THERE ANY EMISSIONS WITH WPP W2H2™? 

Burning hydrogen will always produce nitrogen oxide (NOx). However, WPP W2H2™ technology is capable of keeping NOx emissions below any environmental regulation level. Through internal or external recirculation of gases, to decrease the temperature of the flame, this results in a decrease in thermal NOx.

 

WPP W2H2™ technology recirculates approx. 15-20% of all gases emitted by the generator, which results in emission reduction even below 100 mg / Nm³, which is less than natural gas. By recirculating the gases using radiation, the flame temperature reduced with the effect that a more robust and longer lifetime is achieved without loss of thermal power.

WPP W2H2™ TECHNOLOGY - RETROFITTING FOSSIL FUEL POWER PLANTS

This technology is a game changer for decommissioned fossil fuel power plants. They will be given new life as non-polluting plants generating about 80% net revenue ROI.

 

The benefits of a conversion to W2H2™ hydrogen production will turn 80% to 85% expenses into up to 85% net revenues, because of the WPP low production cost of hydrogen (USD 0.33 per kg) - the lowest unit cost in the entire market.

 

After the W2H2™ conversion, there is an additional revenue generated by eliminating the CO2 footprint, where plant owners will earn USD 60 per 1 metric ton of CO2. This will almost double the overall revenue gained by using the W2H2™ Green Hydrogen Fuel Production Technology. Compare this to the high cost of polluting fossil fuels.

WPP W2H2™ MOBILE POWER STATION & GE 100% HYDROGEN TURBINES

GE’s broad field experience enables its engineers to understand the impact of using green hydrogen as a gas turbine fuel as used by WPP Energy.

These GE gas turbines are inherently fuel-flexible and can be configured to operate on green hydrogen as a new unit. Alternatively, they can be upgraded even after extended service on traditional fuels - such as natural gas. The scope of the required modifications to configure a gas turbine to operate on hydrogen depends on the initial configuration of the gas turbine and the overall balance of the Plant, as well as the desired hydrogen concentration in the fuel.

GE has mastered operating hydrogen safely and WPP has mastered producing hydrogen safely.
